Are Frozen Foods Healthy for Your Diet?

While frozen food has gotten a bad rap over the years for a variety of reasons, it turns out this has been a totally unfair assessment. Why, you say? Because frozen food can, in fact, be healthy. What’s more, frozen food can actually be more nourishing than their fresh counterparts— and come at a fraction of the price.

Read on below as we highlight why frozen food is healthy for you.

A Healthy Choice

There are plenty of healthy frozen food options, but it may take some searching to find selections that have wholesome ingredient lists.  Fortunately for you, we here at Cuisinery have done that work for you.

All of our frozen options— from our high-quality Meats and Seafood to our delicious Premade Meals— have very little preservatives, artificial flavors and colors, and other ingredients you wouldn’t find in your own kitchen. Plus, they’re jam-packed with protein and fiber.

A Nutritious Option

Packed frozen vegetables often have as much—  if not more— nutrients and vitamins as their fresh counterparts. We know what you might be wondering: But how can that be? Well, listen up.

Frozen vegetables go from the farm to getting clean, and are then immediately flash frozen, locking the nutrients into the item in comparison to fresh produce where it deteriorates with time. This is what happens to our own veggies here at Cuisinery, including everything from our Cauliflower and Broccoli Veggie Mix to our Extra Fine French Peas

Meanwhile, those fresh vegetables that you see at grocery stores? Well, those are sprayed with chemicals and major preservatives to be shelf stable over a longer period of time. Chemicals over the flash frozen technique? We don’t think so.

When it comes to frozen meats— like our Wagyu Beef Burgers and  Braveheart Angus Beef Flank Steak— they don’t have preservatives for the same reason. Their freshness stays intact via flash freezing and without the need for food additives like coloring, BHT, potassium sorbate, or sodium benzoate.

A Budget-Friendly Pick

It’s no secret fresh meat is often more expensive than buying it frozen. Conversely, frozen foods are a way to get the nutritional value of your favorite dishes, appetizers, and ingredients at a cheaper cost.

A Convenient Alternative

On days when you’re running low on time— or energy— it’s good to have frozen meals on hand. Think about it: A frozen Prime Rib Beef Roast Stroganoff or French Cassoulet is a much healthier option than a bowl of cereal, sodium-riddled soup, or sugary protein bar.
